Beginning in 2012, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements to hospitals will be adjusted based on patient satisfaction as measured by HCAHPS scores. In this presentation, Mr. Barnhart will discuss the HCAHPS survey, how satisfaction is measured, and how the public can compare HCAHPS scores for various hospitals in their area. He will also discuss specific steps recruiting can take to ensure that their hospital receives the maximum reimbursement.
